                         Vajreshwari temple is a medieval shrine and this ancient temple is believed to be 1000 old and is dedicated to Devi Vajreshwari goddess of lightning. This temple is located on the northern most corner of the town at the end of Jansali Bazar.Historical record of this temple is not available. Vajreshwari temple is built in the Shikhara style with wooden chhattries and stands on the platform. There are two other small temples on either side of the main shrine.

The temple pillars are extensively woven with scrupulous carvings describing various Hindu deities. Not only there is a tiny tree-line inscription on one of the two pillars in front of the doorway of the shrine but also there are 18 short one line inscriptions on the outer walls. The symbol of Goddess Durga seated on a lion and Lord Vishnu can be witnessed in the recesses to the exterior of the temple.<br />
                      When you come down to Chamba, you should not miss out to catch a glimpse of Vajreshwari temple.
